The Impact of Household Cooking Fuel Choice on Healthcare Expenditure in Ghana

This study investigates the impact of household cooking fuel choice on healthcare expenditure as well socioeconomic and demographic factors that influence expenditure. We employed Tobit regression technique data from sixth seventh rounds Ghana Living Standards Survey conducted in 2012/13 2016/17, respectively. The results indicate 2012/13, relative to households using wood fuel, charcoal liquefied petroleum gas are 54.40 115.09 percentage points less likely spend services.
